Digital Foundry, Inc. is a leading business and software consulting firm looking to bring on a few talented quality assurance engineers at its waterfront office in sunny Tiburon, CA.  You will help Digital Foundry plan, build, and maintain highly visible custom software for start-ups and large multinational companies.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have strong interest in creating and driving the QA process for the project.  At Digital Foundry, our work environment is dynamic; it is important for QA engineers to feel comfortable multitasking and working in an environment with rapid development lifecycles. They are key members of their project teams and they are critical to the successful delivery of robust custom software solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Setting up and managing the issue resolution process for the team, including direct communication with the client
  • Working closely with project management and development engineers to refine use cases, create test plans, and draft test cases in a rapid development environment
  • Performing rigorous feature and regression tests for desktop, web, and mobile projects.
  • Analyzing and reporting on the results of testing efforts

Education and Experience

  • BS in Computer Science or related field
  • 2 years software QA experience
  • Experience working with and creating testing documentation
  • Experience establishing new QA processes preferred

Technical Skills

  • Visual Studio Team Edition for Testers
  • Experience configuring bug tracker software (e.g. Bugzilla)
  • Experience creating and/or running automated tests
  • UML

Communication and Analytical Skills

  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • First rate writing and technical writing skills
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills
  • Willingness to work in a team environment
  • Ability to give and receive constructive advice
  • Ability to support multiple project initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
  • Hard working, "no excuses" attitude
