Project Manager

Digital Foundry, Inc. is a leading business and software consulting firm looking to bring on a few talented project managers at its waterfront office in sunny Tiburon, CA.  You will help Digital Foundry plan, build, and maintain highly visible custom software for start-ups and large multinational companies.

Responsibilities

In addition to planning multi-month projects for up to ten-person teams, Project Managers at Digital Foundry are responsible for refining project scope, preparing functional and technical documentation, and drawing site maps and use case hierarchies. Project Managers are also responsible for minimizing project risk, maintaining effective communication, and managing day-to-day tasks and project deliverables. Project Managers work closely with Digital Foundry Business Consultants, Software Engineers, Quality Assurance Engineers, Deployment Engineers, partners and clients to ensure that project goals are accomplished on time and on budget, and that client expectations are surpassed.

Education and Experience

• College degree required
• 3-5 years of software product & project management experience

Communication Skills

• Hosting daily conference calls with clients, design partners, and DF resources
• Directing and motivating design, development, and deployment teams
• Resolving communication issues
• Working through, prioritizing, estimating, and tracking software issues with QA and engineering
• Handling client change requests
• Managing alpha, beta, and release presentations and sign-offs
• Effective written communication in a wide variety of document deliverables, including use cases, functional specifications, site maps, and status reports.
