Production Engineer
Responsibilities
Digital Foundry, Inc., a leading business and software consulting firm, is looking to bring on a talented production engineer at its waterfront campus in sunny Tiburon, CA. Successful candidates will earn a coveted position on a multifunctional team and will help produce innovative software for Digital Foundry’s respected global clientele. As a key team member, you will help Digital Foundry plan, build, and maintain highly visible custom software for large multinational companies in the entertainment, telecom and energy industries.
Digital Foundry Production Engineers are responsible for integrating creative assets into project software using Flash ActionSript, HTML, and other scripting languages. As with all engineers at Digital Foundry, Production Engineers are responsible for ensuring clean, extensible, and commented code. Good writing skills and a strong attention to detail are required.
Education, Training and Experience
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- One plus year(s) of software development experience using Flash ActionScript, HTML and other scripting languages
Technical Skills
- Flash ActionScript, HTML, ASP, JavaScript, VBScript, and XML/XSL
- Information Architecture
- Creating and optimizing images for the Web (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Ability to test their code and the code of others
- Aptitude to write clean, clear, commented code
Communications and Analytical Skills
- Effective verbal communication skills
- First rate writing and technical writing skills
- Strong analytical problem solving skills
- Willingness to work in a team environment and take constructive advice
- Hard working, "no excuses" attitude
