Deployment Engineer

Responsibilities
Digital Foundry, Inc., a leading business and software consulting firm, is looking to bring on a few talented deployment  engineers at its waterfront campus in sunny Tiburon, CA. Successful candidates will earn a coveted position on a multifunctional team and will help produce innovative software for Digital Foundry’s respected global clientele. As a key team member, you will help Digital Foundry plan, build, and maintain highly visible custom software for large multinational companies in the entertainment, telecom and energy industries.

Deployment Engineers design, document, and manage the configuration and installation of products into development, staging, and production environments. Responsibilities include determining anticipated utilization, stability, extensibility and scalability requirements, choosing the appropriate technologies, setting up, configuring and installing the system, and preparing the hardware to support all applications.

Skills and Experience
BS in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge and experience. Experience includes:

• 2-3 years experience in development to deployment processes and procedures (i.e., code builds)
• 2-3 years experience or equivalent skills in System Administration
• Database administration skills (Oracle, Sybase and SQL Server)
• Experience in Windows and UNIX, Perl scripting as well as third-party technologies
• Firewall, Load Balancing, VPN experience
