The "extra mile" means many different things at Digital Foundry. Our consultants often take it literally, as they travel worldwide to meet with the stakeholders of far-flung global companies. However, while our consultants are on the road gathering requirements, our software engineers are going the extra mile intellectually, exploring all the options at their disposal to write the clean and concise code that will get the job done. ![]() If you spend a day hanging around our office, it's easy to spot the many ways we step up to the plate. You'll see tech support staff arriving at 5:30 AM, consultants taking calls with East Coast clients at 7:00 AM, and engineers gathered around the white-boards for morning meetings at 8:45 AM. You'll see "heads down" signs up to protect the engineers when they're working to meet a deadline, and project managers calling for take-out when they're still in the thick of it late at night. In fact, Digital Foundry never closes; members of our team are used to working late, coming to work at 10:00 PM to work shifts on European hours, and flying off in the middle of the night to make critical morning meetings.
But if you really want to go the extra mile with Digital Foundry, go for a run with Ryan and Wes (pictured on the right). They're out on the Tiburon bike path most days around lunch time, knocking out a relaxing eight-mile run. |
